The
2010 rankings of non-profit organizations
from global market research firm Harris Interactive ranked Komen for the
Cure as the number one most valuable non-profit brand and the charity
people are most likely to donate to. Komen also ranked second among the
most trusted non-profit organizations in America (behind St. Jude Research
Hospital). The rankings examined 1,151 organizations.
“We are enormously humbled to be
recognized in this way by the public that we serve,” said Komen founder
and CEO, Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker. “This validation redoubles our
resolve to our promise to end breast cancer through science, education,
advocacy and relevant support programs all around the world.”
Harris Interactive Senior Vice President of Public Affairs, Justin Greeves,
said of the top-performing non-profits: “They are working to solve many of
society's most complex and relevant problems in efficient, new, and
innovative ways and have achieved personal relevance in many of our lives
- that is why they are at the top."
 Over
seventy-five percent of net proceeds stay in Northwest Louisiana for local
breast cancer outreach, education, and screening programs. Twenty-five
percent of net proceeds directly support the Komen Foundation’s Research
Program. The Komen Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization so your
donations are tax deductible.
In Memory
and In Honor Donations
This program allows donors to remember a loved one's
life, celebrate a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc.,) or
recognize the courage of a friend or relative who is fighting breast
cancer by making a donation in the person's name. A personalized tribute
card is sent to the person or family indicated, notifying them of the
thoughtful donation but not revealing the amount of the donation. Each
gift is tax-deductible to the extent of the law, and each donor receives
an acknowledgment for the donation. Please use Donation Form and mail to

We welcome the opportunity to work
with community organizations and individuals who wish to hold a special
event fundraiser to benefit the Northwest Louisiana Affiliate. However, we
do require that a “Letter of Agreement” (LOA) is completed which outlines
the details of the event and grants permission to use the Komen name and
